This week my brand new car arrived! It’s a beautiful and super advanced Cupra Tavascan – yes you’ve probably never heard of it before, neither had I when I first saw it haha. Cupra used to primarily make race cars and have now branched out into making SUVs – you can definitely feel the race car history when you step on the drive pedal! The car immediately presses you into your seat, feels a bit like when the rollercoaster is about to go super fast – I love it lol.
For the people who know me, you know that a Range Rover or G-wagon is my dream car – and it’s still in the pipeline – but as a mum to a young child who will hopefully have more soon – it made sense to opt for a more family friendly car for my current situation. This car is super spacious in the front AND the back, has a gazillion safety features and has ample boot space – so it was an easy decision.
About the full circle thing – this car can self-park!! Joyce and I went to the cinema the day it came and it offered to park for me and did it seamlessly – which threw it back to 2020 when I was trying to reverse parallel park on a one way, busy street and I was failing so horribly that there was a 10 car traffic jam as a result and someone in the traffic had to offer to help me park my car for me! Only then did the car get parked properly and the traffic cleared – gosh it was so so embarrassing!! I remember thinking I just have to practice this and I truly did, I park quite well now 5 years on – but now having a car that parks itself? Heavenly!!
As at that moment in 2020 I didn’t even think of a self-parking car being a possibility in my life – talk less of the near future – isn’t it amazing how God provides answers to our challenges that are even beyond our imagination! Super grateful for this blessing!
