Hey lovelies!
I went to my very first O2 Arena concert guyssss! I had no plan to go for a UK show to be honest, I feel like shows in Lagos are so much fun and didn’t want to go to a UK show where people tend to be rather reserved, but when this free opportunity came up, I figured – why not?
2 days to Burna Boy’s concert, NHS gave out free tickets to his concert. I didn’t believe but by the time I got my QR Code I was like woahhh this is true – so I quickly shared the news with my friends and Twitter timeline – because as my people say: who no like awoof?
Fast forward to Friday, myself, my 2 siblings and my younger cousin are chilling in the Sky backstage thanks to my brother’s connect that upgraded our tickets! It was pretty nice back there, I must say enjoyment truly does suit me haha!
Then the show started with a fun hypeman and hypewoman, and supporting acts came up – Ruger & Midas the Jagaban!
Eventually Burna Boy arrived in a Spaceship and the show kicked off!
All performances were live – no backing tracks, he had an energetic choir and the band was super amazing! Omah Lay did a set in between Burna’s outfit changes too, he was so humble about this being his first time in London, bless him!
He brought out Rema – this was a highlight for me and most of the audience tbh, that guy is lovedddd!
All in all, it was an amazinggg experience – I put the videos from the event on my highlight tab on my Instagram page – check it out!
Oh and the energy in the O2 arena was off the radar – so many people were hyped and just having a swell time, totally loved it!
