If you are tired of listening to only Elizabeth Peters rant on this website (even though it’s hers lol) then this is the segment for you!
Press Play is a column on elizabethtpeters.com that provides an outlook on the happenings in pop culture with partiality to music. If it’s trending and it’s significant, we’ll (actually just me but “we” sounds better) attend to it. Think of Press Play as your musical tour guide. Listening to the new songs for you, reviewing them so your ears are not hurt (you are welcome) and sifting through the ever increasing pool of musicians to bring you quality, deep and interesting music.
It’s not just about what’s new, this is also the place to be for reliving old musical memories, as we try to once more shine the light on the songs that made us move, think or just sing along back then. We are pressing play on all the good stuff: Abba to The Rolling Stones to Foreigner to Lauryn Hill, to Westlife to The Spice Girls to Destiny’s Child, to Nelly Furtado, P!nk, Ja Rule, DMX, Busta Rhymes, Mario, T-Pain, Akon, Nickelback, Shania Twain, to Enrique and to all the stars still topping the charts today: Queen Beyonce, One Direction, Imagine Dragons, Bryson Tiller, Fetty Wap, Adam Levine, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, and every other artist.
It is much more than music though, its movies, fashion, social media trends and all that jazz. Please come with me on this journey, it will be a walk to remember.
