STANDING TOGETHER:
The Clause:
“And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the LORD, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.”
1 Corinthians 7:10-11 KJV
Here, Paul by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit has a very vivid command to married folks. “…..unto the married I command, yet not I, BUT THE LORD,….”
This is a straight-forward command scarcely giving room for any option. The condition given here is that if any of the married should separate from the other, such should stay single for as long as the other partner remains alive, otherwise, he or she should be reconciled to the other partner.
If you have tried separation as the husband and you find it more difficult than forgiving your wife, be reconciled to her. As the wife if you have tried separation and you find it tougher than forgiving and overlooking your husband’s faults, get reconciled.
It is a command from the LORD.
“Now the God of Peace, that brought again from the dead our LORD JESUS, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the Blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do HIS will, working in you that which is well pleasing in HIS sight, through JESUS Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
Hebrews 13:20-21 KJV
Waiting BUT NOT READY, will not be our portion, as we are waiting; let us make ourselves ready at the same time, we shall be ready in JESUS Mighty Name Amen 🙏🏾.
“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to HIM: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and HIS wife hath made herself ready.”
Revelation 19:7 KJV
