Purpose And Positives of Communication in Marriage:
Communication in marriage refers to the way verbal and non-verbal information is exchanged between husband and wife. Verbal information includes spoken conversation (e.g. face -to-face, phone calls) and written messages (e.g. text messages, e-mails, WhatsApp chats or any form of social media chats), while non-verbal information is the use of body language such as behaviour, tone of voice, gestures, and facial expressions to convey respect, affection and concern for a spouse.
Communication in marriage enables husband and wife to express their needs, wants, desires, and concerns to each other. Open and honest communication creates an atmosphere that allows them to give counsel and advice, as well as to express their differences, love and admiration for each other. Through proper communication, they are able to resolve the unavoidable problems that arise in their marriage, and forge a good understanding and relationship with one another.
As a husband, you have to make out time to communicate with your wife. Communication with her brings the two of you closer to each other, and that closeness or bond provides an even greater opportunity (and need) for communication between you two. It is a cyclical effect. One leads to, supports, and strengthens the other.
May God’s Grace and protection continue to be upon us all in JESUS Mighty Name Amen 🙏.
