Heyyyyy my people!
I WONNNNNNN!!
Yes,the World Changers International (WCI) awards that I went for last Sunday was a great success, and now I’m a proud award winner – Young Media Personality Of The Year 2015!!
If you guys really paid attention to the tone of quite a few of my posts last year, you’d know I went through some really hard times…so to have an international body recognize my passion and stress-escape, ElizabethTPeters.com, it’s a great honor and shows that hard work really does pay off. I could have decided to just wallow in my pain and not written anything here and I would have been justified truly, because it was a whole lot of heartache.
But I didn’t. So I’d like to use the medium to encourage all of you wonderful readers – no matter how tough a situation is, so long as you’re still alive, there’s still hope – so don’t give up. Keep doing what makes you happy and be expectant of a brighter day; it will come!
Now let’s talk about the awards itselffffff!
The prestigious award night was held in the plush conference room of Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja and was studded with dignitaries from across Africa including the Honourable minister of Agriculture to Ghana, Entertainment Mogul Tajudeen Adepetu and the highly celebrated musician, 9ice!
The red carpet was hosted by the handsome Onasanya Hakeem who eloquently interviewed the guests and awardees, then we were all seated and the event began. There was a highly informative lecture by Mrs. Babangida, entertaining performances from talented students of Lagos State University in the form of music and comedy and then the awards were handed to the deserving awardees (if I do say so myself haha).
It was a highly pleasant night, one which I would definitely attend again – and invite you all for!
