Yeah I’m looking at you funny because this topic is about how people look at others.
Sexual harassment is something that happens to almost any girl and as a victim of it myself, I can tell you it’s not a pleasant experience. I may not have had the extreme experiences of it, but even the “small” experiences hurt in ways that can’t be explained completely.
I’ve seen a lot of women getting lambasted on social media when they finally find the courage toncome out as victims and I find it so painful to read the callous, seemingly thoughtless opinions that people air online concerning such people.
As I’ve said, I’ve experienced some of it and it wasn’t pleasant in the slightest. I think it hurt me most because I felt like it was a bullet to my persona, like I couldn’t understand how someone could deduce such a perverse thing from someone who appears nowhere near what they are imagining.
So my little message to you, is to not be the first to say “what were you wearing?” When something happens, try to be thoughtful.
