Love!!!
A word that revolves round us.
Watched like in movies
but Shallow in reality
What then is love?
i would liken it to electricity
Touching every aspect of life,
To an extent I appreciate it’s simplicity
But then, we have built around it familiarity
Love!!!
Love is kind, patient
And greatest of them all
But yet I feel sad,
As I see hatred sown amidst us
I tuned my TV channel to 95.5 F. M Wazobia
I hear them speak of a name called xenophobia
That alone almost gave me phobia……
They say and speak of……
A brother killing his fellow brother
For no reason.
It’s disheartening and tragic
As I thought we were one.
Love!!!
I knew I needed love
I felt emptied, lonely
Set aside in my own world
Friends couldn’t help
Family couldn’t help
I felt the pain,
Everything appears good outside
But then I am sad or not fine inside
I needed love
Someone to hold, touch, feel what I feel
Someone I could share my pains and my weaknesses with
And there he was,
Like in a shock,
Stretched his hands towards me
Gave me courage to carry on
In my imperfection he embraced me
In my weakness he was was my strength
My gist partner and my confidant......
I broke down to tears
As all fears were gone
I wondered what kind of love is this
That’s a man laid down his life for his friends
Bruised, beaten and battered
As if that wasn’t enough
That cup
that deadly cup
The cup of death
He drank it
Bore my inquities
Removed every inequality
Took my yoke
My dear, what he did on the cross wasn’t a joke.
Yes
He remains the vein that pumps my heart.
Supplying every part to give life…..
For me he was broken,
For me he was chastised
For me…..
He said it is finished
I still wonder why so much love
