The realization that when you’re star shines, not everyone will be happy to see the light it emits, is difficult, especially when you are always happy to see others succeed, so such emotions are alien to you. 2015 showed me a lot of people’s true colors towards me, I remember feeling so astonished at how many people wished me evil, both people I knew personally and otherwise; I must confess it did a number on me.
Thanks be to God, I somehow scaled through that torrential time – I pray that one day I’ll have the strength to share the story – but onto today’s post, this week I experienced something unfair that made me remember 2015, some individuals have taken it upon themselves to deter my progress in any way possible, and were actually able to disrupt a certain plan of mine that meant a lot to me. All I felt was disappointed. Disappointed because, one of the fellows involved was someone I deemed as a friend, and that’s one of the cons of relationships, it’s the people you regard highly of that can disappoint you the most.
However, I’m weirdly at peace with the whole thing; and this is because I know where I’m going in this life, so it’s such a shame some people are trying to fight against a God-predestined path; such persons are only setting themselves up for failure in this respect – because I’m still going to achieve all that God said I will by His Grace.
In every disappointment is an appointment and so I’m hanging on to the appointment concealed in this!
If you’re going through a rough patch where you’re getting battered from corner to corner, hang on to the promises in His Word – He never fails.
P.S, it’s my birthday on Sunday 21st of January! Feel free to send me lovely gifts haha
