Hey everyone!
It’s been a busy couple of days from my birthday January 21st till now, hence this post is a little late – my apologies!
So as the title alludes, I am now 27 years old. Wow wow wow it sounds so serious an age hahahaha. Well despite how serious it sounds, I still see myself as a babygirl that’s taking life a step at a time and honestly I think it’s the best way to go about it.
On my birthday itself, I went out to dinner with a couple friends that I had made during different phases of my life and we literally turned the restaurant into a private party, like we actually played charades haha! I loved it, love when I bring people from different walks of my life together and they get on well! It makes me so happy.

During the weekend, I had an invitation to the Nigerian Doctor’s in the UK London Meet and it was a splendid day spent hanging out with my fellow colleagues in the profession! People shared their experiences, how they handled them and gave advice to upcoming ones like myself! This community is so beautiful, if you’re a Nigerian doctor coming to the UK I would highly recommend joining once you cross! The network is amazing.
On Sunday I went on a tour of London with my babygirl Tejiri who some of you may recognize from Project Fame! To me, she’s my darling TJ whom I go way back to undergrad days with. When she said she’d be in London I was very glad to show her around and here are a few photos from our mini tour:
This girl actually made me visit Buckingham Palace for the first time in my life despite living here for most of it haha!
Later on in the day I went out with some of my Boarding school friends to support our former classmate Mayowa Balogun, CEO Beam Entertainment and Manager of Lady Donli, at his artist’s show and it was amazing! Packed from wall to wall and the vibe was fantastic! Show was sold out and I’m so proud of him!

Fast forward to Thursday, having flown into Lagos, I had a paint party at Casper & Gambini’s in Victoria Island with a couple of great friends! The whole event was put together by the owner of @ArtnLounge (on Instagram and Twitter) when I reached out that I always wanted to do attend their organized events whilst I was in Lagos, but the dates kept falling on my call duty days haha! The organizer, Bunmi was a spectacular planner, she made everything seamless and the event was a success!

Friday rolled by and it was time for my best girl Adeola to get traditionally married to the love of her life! It was a culturally-rich event and I loved the dress my fave designer made for me!
Finally Saturday showed up and it was time for the main event – the white wedding! Being one of four bridesmaids, we had to make sure our girl’s day was hitch-free and that we did successfully! At a point three of us were the only ones on the dance floor whilst the couple got changed and we had the task of kickstarting the after-party – and we succeeded! There really isn’t anything like a Lagos party guys 😂
Dolapo’s company, Sucre & Spice, handled the desserts at the after party and they were delicious complete with beautiful presentation book her for your events in Lagos & London!
After partying the night away with my friends from boarding school, Sunday came with rest and an amazing sermon at House on The Rock, given by a guest Minister Bishop Wayne Malcolm that was anchored on the story about the two prostitutes that were claiming custody of a child after one had accidentally smothered her own to death. He raised a point about how the true owner of the child was ready to part with present gratification in order for the destiny of that child to be fulfilled and said that we as should be ready to delay our gratification knowing that our God-given destiny will come to pass.
I got my hair done by Grace, a very kind medical student in LASUCOM who actually has an exam this week but gave up 2 hours to help me as I had little time left – thank you so much!!
Lastly, had a wonderful meeting with my mentor Dr. Tunde Ajayi and my good friend Ibidapo Fashina, the current President of Lagos State University Medical Students’ Association, before heading off back to the airport.
As you can see, it’s been a whirlwind!Apologies to everyone I couldn’t meet up with due to limited time, I hope to be back soon, y’all know I’m a Lagos indigene, something will bring me back sooner or later 😂
