See yeah, it’s not easy. Sometimes God promises you something and He might even give you a taster of what He has sworn is yours…then suddenly radio silence. No progress. And then doubt starts to set in.
DON’T FALL FOR IT!!
You have got to keep trusting Him, believe me when I say I’m talking to myself as well, because what else do you have if you don’t? God is all you have in this life that will never disappoint – a delay is not a denial.
Personally, I’m listening to Anthony Brown’s “Trust in You” to remind myself not to fret – my favourite lyrics from it are:
“You did not create me to worry
You did not create me to fear
But you created me to worship, daily
So imma leave it all right here”
That last line reminds me of King Hezekiah in the Bible who brought the negative reports he received to the Lord and laid it all before Him like “yooo this is above me God, please deal with this” – that’s how I’m dealing with my trying time of seeming silence, I’ve just lain it before God and turned away, trusting that He’s handling it – you should try it.
