Hey everyone! If you’ve been a reader of this blog for long enough, you’ll know that my mother is a jewel, as she has supported this blog my having a monthly column titled “Marriage and Family Life”, which she has been faithful to for the past two years!
February 1st is International Mrs. Angelinah O. Peters Day (yes it’s her birthday) and I’d like to celebrate my mom for all that she is and has been to me.
She’s a source of encouragement, an example that you can get all that you want if you push hard and place it before God. My mom didn’t have a rosy upbringing having lost her father at a young age, but she didn’t let her tough beginnings enclose her – rather she transformed it into kinetic energy that pushed her forth out into new arenas filled with opportunities.
Because she’s been a risk taker from young, she’s always supported our dreams, even those that don’t seem conventional – she is always open to hearing our plans and understanding why we want to do certain things. When I told her my dreams concerning the Nigerian Healthcare sector she said “all things are possible with God” and encouraged me to continually keep God as the focal point in all my life plans.
A post isn’t enough to appreciate the wonder that is my mother, but it’s the least I could do. I love you Mrs Peters, and so do your readers!
I wish you a year filled with joy and great success!
Much love,
Your firstborn xo
