I’m one of the people that never opens videos of police brutality on social media because quite frankly my heart can’t take it. Have I seen people die before? Countlessly unfortunately, but it’s part of the job. But you see watching intentional first-degree murder, by people who are supposed to be protecting the victims…it hits differently.
I just hate it. I also really dislike when racism apologists decide to respond to other people’s outrage in such a horrid manner too! Irks me so much. Like ughhhh.
I don’t have much to say I just wanted to get this off my chest because it’s upsetting me even as I’ve avoided the content to the best of my ability.
I pray for the family of young girl that was gunned down in Lagos by police officers a few days ago. I pray for the hundreds of people that have fled South Kaduna due to the huge unrest that led to the loss of several lives including those of children.
I just pray for peace around the world. Especially for black people.
I detest this feeling of helplessness so I turn to God who sees and knows all that is going on, for help and for continued faith that things will get better.
