Last weekend, I had an amazing time in the Capital of the State of Osun – Oshogbo! What took me there you’re wondering? The Value Female Network, a Non-Governmental Organization that I work for, held the Premier Adolescent Boot Camp (ABC) themed “GIRL: Growing Into Revolutionary Ladies”. We had teenage girls from different schools across the state who stayed on the camp from Friday 25th – Sunday 27th August and there wasn’t a dull moment throughout!
Costly Aderibigbe, a 5th year medical student at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology is the founder of the Value Female Network (VFN). The camp gave the young girls opportunities to interact and learn from different experienced speakers. They also participated in several activities outlined for the camp which included quizzes, sports, skill acquisition workshops and much more.
Speakers came from across the nation including the UNFPA, Red Cross, Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, Action Health Incorporated among others; to motivate and enrich the young ladies, and it was certainly a worthwhile event. Investing in the youth is investing in the future – check out the gallery below showing the highlights:
It was an astounding event, special thanks to Miss Modupe Ojelabi for the beautiful DLSR Photos!
