Compliments of the season darlings! Whilst you lucky folks were tucking into your Christmas dinner, I was helping stitch an unlucky lad that was a victim of reckless driving – yup I was working on Christmas day haha! But I got Boxing Day off and you know I had to have things planned!
First I had my Christmas dinner for breakfast as I was too tired to eat the night before, then we headed to UpBeat Centre in Lekki Phase 1 for some trampoline fun!
An hour session cost us N3000 (normally N2500, but 26th was a public holiday) and we paid N500 for the grip socks.
I got some flips in and the staff called me the “undiscovered spiderwoman” because of how I jumped into the foam pit haha. (Note pictures of flips are blurry because they are screenshots of videos 😅)
Jide just came for a photoshoot, he wouldn’t do any flips but I guess it’s because he’s working in neurosurgery 😂
Next we headed to the Eat Drink Festival at the Lekki Coliseum and it was a really cool event! To gain entry you needed to buy a Wristband for N1000 which you could then top up (via cash or card) and you’d then use your wristband to pay for food at each of the vendors’ stands – and trust me there were a lot of stands to choose from!
Aside from buying food and drinks, there were cooking competitions, games, and even a masterclass given by Lala Alakija of the Eko Cocktail Club on how to make homemade cocktails! The whole event had a really cool vibe and Tosan, the MC/Hypeman certainly knew what his job description was.
How you get your band topped up to be able to buy from
the vendors at the festival.
I’d highly recommend going for the festival if you’re a foodie, and going to UpBeat if you’re an adrenaline junkie like me !
Till next time,
ETP xo
