Speaking to young people is something I love doing, especially when I get asked to speak from my own life experiences, there’s no need for rehearsals, the information flows freely, and so when Shanyi reached out to me to be a panelist at her event, I was over the moon!
As you may know, I’ve been up and around the world since I finished school, so when I saw that this event was going to be right in my city Ibadan, I was like yess, finally lol.
What did I speak about? I was asked to talk on the hassles of being a stu-preneur, which encapsulated all the issues surrounding balancing your passions with school – bear in mind that I’ve written a little about that before in my post balancing your life – so speaking on it was like re-iterating the points made in that post.
It was an honor to speak on that platform, as the audience was highly intellectual, filled with individuals that want more than the status quo, and I got to meet some of my followers! See, you may never know how much of an impact you are making till you meet people who have been inspired. I’m always so humbled when people come up to tell me how I’ve inspired them to do amazing things, because to me, I’m just being myself lol, but people are watching I guess and I’m just beginning to accept that haha.

So my advice today is to keep doing what you love, you never know who you’re inspiring and where your passion will take you!
