During the El Maolud break, when most were enjoying the serene atmosphere of the holiday in Lagos, Omobabirin Adeola had a gathering of intellects, professionals, entrepreneurs and even students for her book launch – titled Building Great Relationships – which also doubled as a public speaking event on Relationship Management. The book, highly informative and needed in our generation today, as reiterated by the reviewers – Mrs Morenike Ogunnowo and Mr Olusegun Dada – shed more light on how Relationship is everything and everything needed to keep healthy and productive relationships along life.
Some of the cogent points stressed by the public speaking expert on “Emotional intelligence; you and your emotions” – Mr Femi Abiodun – stated that “… to succeed in life, you don’t need my (your neighbors) permission but you need my (your neighbors) collaboration”. Also, that Success is deliberate and as a result of good relationships management during a life time. He went on to give lessons from “my mobile phone”, explaining that if we handle our relationships or jobs the way we handle our phone(s), the world would be a better place.
Speaking on Etiquette, Brand, poise and style was Barr. Abiola Abiade, who gave tips on socially acceptable manners, likewise encouraging youths to stop the unnecessary use of abbreviations in their communication. She then stressed on the fact that good manners and etiquette open doors and move people up the professional ladder.
