Ahhh it feels great to be back at this writing game! Today’s topic is a little sensitive but I think it’s something that certainly needs to be addressed so let’s get to it shall we?
Ever felt like there’s good in someone, but it’s difficult to see at times? Ever lived with someone that you feel is just managing your existence? Ever had to constantly brace yourself from the two edged sword of a friend that has a talent for slicing the ones nearest to them?
Unfortunately, relationships aren’t single faceted; there are different elements to each one and some can be extremely draining. What makes you stay when a relationship is tiring? (I don’t mean boyfriend-girlfriend kind of relationship alone, all types), what makes you look past the attitude problems and character clashes? Or do you just count down till when the time of the relationship elapses?
So many questions right? It’s because relationship discussions are fickle, there may not be one correct answer, the way you solve your issue with a friend that snaps at you regularly could be different from someone else. For example, some people prefer to “clear” the friend and state that they don’t like what they did there and then, whilst others prefer to keep quiet on the issue and just put it at the back of their mind. Different strokes for different folks.
I’d like to hear back from you guys on this, let’s all put our heads together and come up with solutions to this common issue.
Looking forward to your responses,
ETP xo
