Yes, I get angry sometimes, believe it or not lol. In fact, there was a period in January when it was like someone angered me every day, mennnnn. Was it the people that prevented me from attending the IFMSA General Assembly in Egypt? Or the rumour bearers in my class? There seemed to be someone just trying to push me over the edge and my patience was wearing thinner and thinner and I was dangerously near snapping.
I think what angered me the most in all the hullaballoo, was that people kept saying “you’re bigger than this” “ignore them” or my personal worst “forgive them”. Can you imagine constantly forgiving people that aren’t even sorry? Who will repeat the exact same offence again without a second thought? It was an irritating period that had me wondering why I had to always be the bigger person, and I was seriously considering being petty, as I had every right to be!
However, if there’s anything I’ve learnt from my past human interaction experiences, it’s that one should not make permanent decisions during a temporary state of mood. Yes, I was upset, irritated and quite frankly not happy, but I decided against acting based on my mood and resorted to talking to my Father in Heaven about it, and as promised, He sent The Comforter my way who soothed my emotions and helped me to literally let it go, because naturally I wouldn’t have been able to move past those struggles on my own.
The best way to manage anger in my humble opinion guys, is to hand it over to God.
Till next time,
ETP xo
