SUMMARY:
In a nutshell, the secret of killing the boredom in your marriage and making your relationship fun again is for you and your wife to grow in intimacy. Different forms of intimacy exist in marriage. They include spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical intimacy.
SPIRITUAL intimacy: is the foundation upon which a lasting marital relationship is built. This begins when partners surrender their lives and relationship to God. It enables them to live out their marriage relationship according to God’s plan, seek to please Him in all things, submit to His direction and guidance and follow the teachings of His Word. Only couples who have a sound relationship with JESUS CHRIST and have submitted to His Lordship experience spiritual intimacy.
EMOTIONAL Intimacy: is essential to the survival of any marital relationship. It engenders a sense of closeness and understanding. Here, the couple shares their emotions including their hurts, joys and fears, and at the same time, empathises with each other.
SOCIAL Intimacy: involves couples having mutual friends. It also entails couples talking, playing and praying together.
INTELLECTUAL Intimacy: is when spouses are able to share thoughts and ideas, and also enjoy the similarities and differences in their opinions not just because of their equal educational background but also because of the mutual respect they have for each other’s opinion.
PHYSICAL Intimacy: is an integral part of marriage. It is God’s gift to help couples express their love for each other. For the Christian couples, the emphasis is on mutual respect and understanding. This form of intimacy is a deeper and more beautiful expression of the marriage union.
Intimacy with your wife won’t occur automatically, especially after you’ve allowed your relationship to go stale. You will need to work at it. That is, develop intimacy deliberately. You need to spend quality time with her. Create time out of your schedules to be together, and make that a regular habit. Spend the time to know each other more and create activities that will bring you together. Play with her, for a couple that prays and plays together will stay together. Share your time, thoughts, interests and dreams. The time you spend together brings you closer. Communication in marriage is very essential. Therefore, be open and honest with each other. Be available too. Let her know your likes and dislikes and let go of all offences and resentments.
In addition, let there be mutual love, respect, kindness and understanding in your relationship. Listen to her and express your thoughts in plain words. Give no room for assumptions. Seek more ways to grow in intimacy so that your love for her can grow, such as taking her out and giving her a special treat; buying her a special, surprise gift and giving it to her with fun; going to church together; having Bible study, prayer, and fasting together; as well as doing evangelism together.

If your marriage is currently not what you desire, know that God loves you and He wants the best for your marriage. Just ask Him for wisdom and patience to make it a model and fun. He is able to take it to the height you’ve never imagined.
May God continue to bless us all in JESUS Mighty Name Amen 🙏.
Believers in Christ JESUS, let us continue in faith till the end in spite of all odds, we are called to focus and keep looking unto JESUS our LORD, He is our perfect Example. He is revealed as the Source and Author of Salvation from sin and Finisher of our faith.
In-between the time He saves us and the consummation at rapture when He takes us to Heaven, He acts as Enabler, Helper, Intercessor, Supplier, Healer and Deliverer. He will save us finally at rapture before the dawn of the great tribulation. No created being can do these.
God expects the sinner to first look to HIM for Salvation so as to be empowered to look unto JESUS by faith to both learn and walk in His footsteps.
JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY SAVIOUR.
He is coming soon to take His own people.
Are you one of us?
If you are not one of us yet, repent and be converted. It is that simple!
