A picture perfect homeAnd a gentle looking giant
Towering over her precious frame
A smile on her torn lips
And a black eye
Hidden behind the shades she wore
And the dab of cosmetics
Everyone wonders why she wears a scarf
Why she didn’t want to leave
Every night
I’d watch from my window
As silhouettes clashed
Fists to face
And screams muffled
By the sound proof walls
I’d curl up in a ball
Wishing i could save her
Until one day The silhouettes were gone
An ambulance swooped in
And sirens wailed
The medical examiner
Said she died of blunt force trauma
The M.E lied
We all knew what killed her
It was the monster hidden in her silence
Sitting by the corner
Now she’s gone
A victim of her own silence
